JBB? Who is behind these 3 letters ?
They are Jean-Bertrand BRUNEAU's initials. Jean-Bertrand is a surgeon dentist who has a passion for mechanical design.
The JBB's innovations are huge (two-stroke-V2 engine with a single crankpin, jugularless integral helmet...) but the most signifiant is a motorcycle front end, proposed as a alternative to the traditionnal telescopic fork. (See Technique).
Since 1980, JBB and his contributors has built many motorcycles based on various engines from various brands (Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, BMW, Ducati) and they obtained a lot of good results in sprint or endurance racing:
  • @TOMO : Michel ROBERT win the PROTWIN challenge in 2002
  • METISS : 1st OPEN and 10th scratch in the 2010 24h of Le Mans, 1st OPEN et 7th scratch in the 2010 Bol d'or, 1st OPEN and 9th scratch in the 2011 Bol d'or (Magny-Cours).

With 30 years of experience, the "JBB Team" has a great knowledge of vehicle design, particularly racing motorcycles.
However, the JBB Team is not a professionnal entity of the motorcycle industry as other french teams like TECH 3 or SERT. Around JBB, all teams has been composed of volontary people:  artisans, teachers, technicians ... etc. Each has demonstrated competencies in the field and all gather around a common thread, JBB.

So it's no coincidence that the JBB Team  is increasingly sought for industrial projects in parallel with its usual activities. The most recent example is the study and the realization of a 3-wheel electric prototype vehicle: Whoop (Tracetel company).
